Banks, The Iron Dragon’s Daughter by Michael Swanwick, The Earthsea Trilogy by Ursula K. LeGuin, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, and The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester.

Iain M. Banks was one of the greatest writers of all time. His literary career began in 1984 with The Wasp Factory. His first Science Fiction novel, Consider Phlebas, came out three years later in 1987. I’ve read most of his novels and I present here those I consider to be the best. His novels are at the top of my favorite books list.
